Here's what you'll need:

  • Gourmet Cupboard Beer Bread Mix
  • 1 12 oz bottle of hard cider 
  • 1/2 cup mixed shallots
  • 1/2 cup shredded peeled Gala apples
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
Mix beer bread according to instructions substituting the beer for the hard cider.  Place 1/2 cup shredded peeled Gala apple in paper towels; squeeze until barely moist. Cook shallots and apple in oil over medium heat for 7 minutes. Add 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack. 

Cook according to instructions.

How yummy is that?  I absolutely love cheese on my apple pie as it is so the combination of flavors is great!

Cherry Tomatoes stuffed with Dill Dip

A quick appetizer or snack if you don't have alot of time and energy:

Cherry Tomatoes stuffed with Dill Dip

Make a batch of TGC Dill Dip (all you need is sour cream), add about a 1/4 tsp of Tabasco sauce (or to taste) and mix together and stuff into already cleaned and cored out cherry tomatoes. Sprinkle with Paprika or for a twist crumbled bacon. Wow...sounds really good!

Newest venture that seems to be a huge hit so far!  I love to cook and bake and all things in the kitchen (except for dishes! YUCK)  So thanks to my brother who thought I needed a new project I am now owner of Torta Dulces home of Cakesicles, Piesicles and Rolly Balls!  This is something that I truly believe in as well as my Gourmet Cupboard, because honestly I'm a flight person and very fly by the seat of my pants and if it doesn't keep my interest for more than a week it isn't worth doing!

Recipe of the day! Pumpkin Spice Pancakes

I love to cook but I don't get to do it as often as I like during the week so I usually go all out on the weekends. Now in our house the CHAMPION PANCAKE MAKER AWARD goes to my youngest son Jeremy. I have no idea what he does to them or what he puts in them but they are the BEST tasting pancakes in the world! IHOP eat your heart out!! But that's ok...I'm challenging my son with a pancake cook-off and I will win because I have a secret weapon....Gourmet Cupboard's Grandma's Pumpkin Pie or Cheesecake Mix! You heard me correctly. I am going to use this to make pancakes and win! 

Here's the recipe:

Pumpkin Spice Pancakes

2 C. Bisquick
¼ C. canned pumpkin
1 egg
½ C. milk

Mix GRANDMA'S PUMPKIN PIE/CHEESECAKE MIX with Bisquick and canned pumpkin. Add in egg and milk according to pancake directions on Bisquick box. Cook as directed on box.

I'm just envisioning these with some butter pecan syrup and melted butter on top....yummmmm....!!!

You're going down Jeremy and there will be a new pancake champion in our house!!

 Banana Nut Cheesecake Spread - $5.25
This unique and appetizing mix is loaded with chopped walnuts and bananas. Serve with sweet crackers or as a bagel spread. Requires 8oz cream cheese. Place an 8oz softened cream cheese in a bowl and sprinkle mix on top. Mix well and refrigerate for 2 hour
 Caramel Apple Dip - $4.75
When customers taste this dip, they just beg for more! Serve with apples. other fruit, or sweet crackers. Mix contents of package with 8oz. softened cream cheese and 1 tbsp. of vanilla. Mix all together until soft and smooth.

Indulge yourself with this great taste of rich cheesecake with chocolate chips in every bite. Serve with sweet crackers or fruit. Requires cream cheese, butter, and vanilla.
 Chocolate Pecan Cheesecake Spread - $5.25
A popular cheesecake ball! Velvety chocolate taste loaded with chocolate chips. Pecan pieces come with the mix, but in a separate package. Requires 8oz cream cheese, butter, and vanilla

Broccoli, Cheese and Rice Casserole- for some reason, this one isn't on the site. A must try! A twist to an old family favorite. Requires butter or margarine, 1 (8oz) jar of cheese whiz, 1 (10.5oz) can of cream of mushroom soup and 1 cup of water. Yields: 9x9 pan.
 Cajun Dirty Rice - $6.00
This traditional Cajun favorite is sure to "spice" up any meal! Serve as a side dish or as main entrée. Add ground sausage, ground meat, can of beef broth and butter. Makes 6 cups
Diabetic Friendly Carrot Soufflé - $4.75
This light and airy side dish is so delicious and simple, and everyone will be amazed that it is sugar free! Add frozen carrots, butter and eggs. Yields 2 cups

 Fried Rice - $5.00
A blend of rice, vermicelli and Asian seasonings make this a great side dish! By adding shrimp or chicken to this dish, you can create a complete meal! Simply add water, margarine, and eggs. Optional: green peas and carrots.
 Hashbrown Casserole - $7.50

If you liked our Sweet Potato Crunch, you'll love this one! A yummy, gooey topping that adds a special touch to regular canned yams. Add canned yams and margarine. Makes 9x9 pan
 Squash Casserole - $4.75
This simple mix gives any squash a special touch. Requires 1-2 lbs of squash, ¼ cup margarine, and 1 egg.
 Stir Fry - $4.75
A delicious seasoning for your stir fry vegetables. Add 16oz of your choice of vegetables.
 Sweet Green Beans - $5.00
Great, easy mix to help transform regular canned green beans into something super yummy! Requires butter or margarine and 3 (14.5 oz) cans of green beans. Yields: 9x13 dish. Bake time: 30 minutes. Tastes sweet with a hint of soy sauce and bacon.
Sweet Pickled Cucumbers - $5.75
These are absolutely delicious! Soak cucumber slices, vinegar, and this mix in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
